Miley Cyrus... AKA Hannah Montana

MILEY CYRUS!!!!!!!
MacKenzie Arledge

Lacie enjoying the concert....she wanted to get much closer, I had to explain that the security guards wouldn't let us go down on the floor!!!

Me and Melissa Arledge decided to take our girls to the Miley Cyrus concert this past weekend. The girls had a great time! Lacie loves Miley, dances around the house singing her songs all the time. I still am not sure if she realizes the Miley is real and how close she was too her. We had awesome seats, the girls could see so good!

I will say that Miley is all grown up now and dances and dresses............well you will see!!

and some more pictures...

Again in random order.... we had a small cookout for my birthday in November, this was the kids watching me open my gift. (Blane, my sisters son, Amber/Brooke Herrington, Lacie and Amber/Brooke)
I'm wondering who Lacie is going to cheer for one day????

All these kids came to momas on Halloween, so Lacie jumped on board for a little trick or treating...... my little princess.

Lacie and most of her cousins and some friends, Jack and Maddie Wheeler, they stopped by Grammies for trick or treating before we left.

My little princess.....Lacie picked out the pattern and Grammie so graciously made her costume.

More random pictures.....

My 1st grader and K5 student. Yes I am officially getting old!
Still can't believe my baby is in the first grade. ( I made pancakes for the first day of school, of course Cameron dropped syrup on his shorts... thus the wet spot on leg of shorts. Now they get toast and/or poptarts for breakfast)

Lacie's first day of K5-- she has the same teacher that Cameron had, Mrs Kim Odom... she is wonderful!

Cheering at the football game.....

Lacie attended the mini-cheerleading camp this summer. Here is an action photo of her. I see a future Clemson cheerleader in the making!
Sorry but I don't know how/don't have time to figure out how to put the pictures in the right order, thus my post are a little backwards......oh well, such is my life.

Random pictures

The computer is being very slow tonight... so here are a few pictures to update you all. These are from our annual beach vacation in August. More to come later.
Lacie
5 of the 9 kids....

Lacie waiting patiently for her turn to stuff her bear at Build A Bear---- she LOVED going there. At first she named her Hannah Montana Bear....Hannah Montana, but now she calls her Beary. She sleeps with it every night.

Will bought a small throw net for the kids. The boys, and sometimes the girls, stayed on the dock and boat ramp for hours trying to catch little fish (minnows). It was fun to watch them. They are growing up so fast!

Back Online!

After months of being without internet at home.....I'M BACK!!!
Lighting hit the desk top computer and the wireless router several months ago, and its taken us this long to get it fixed. So hopefully I will be posting some updates on everything that's being going on in McElveen world. I'm too tired tonight to do any picture posting, but life hasn't been boring here. We've have a great summer, although it was too short. The first of school was great, the kids have adjusted well to K5 and 1st grade. I still can't believe I have a 1st grader that can read! It amazes me everyday to hear him read and how well he is doing. Although it makes spelling words to Will so Cameron can't understand much harder!! Lacie is also doing great in K5, and I must say is a Teachers Pet. We went on a field trip to the zoo and Lacie was laying all over the teacher's lap, took Ms Kim's sunglasses and ran around and Ms Kim didn't say a word. She is also the class PR person, she greets and hugs everyone that comes in the class. Halloween has come and gone again. Lacie was the most beautiful princess, Grammie made her a princess dress and crown. Cameron was Optimus Prime....a Transformer!! He was adorable, only he wouldn't wear his mask very much. We are now preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Oh, and both the kids had birthdays in June, they are now 7 and 5.....WHEW where does time go??? I promise I will post pictures soon. Life is good!

Take me out to the ballgame......

Cameron and Lacie finally got to play in their first ballgames of the season. They have had several games, several have been rained out and we were at the beach for the other we missed. Yesterday the weather was perfect for a ballgame. Lacie played first and big brother was there to cheer her on! This year she actually enjoys playing ball. The first year she signed up she made it through 2 practices. She got hot, then thirsty and the final straw was when the glove made her hand hot and she wouldn't go back. Last year she didnt' sign up. So when she was interested this year, I told her she could play but she would play the entire season. so she agreed and off to the ballfield we went.
Cameron on the other hand is my little sports man! He loves playing any sport and is really good at each of them. He coaches me most of the time! He is very athletic and enjoys everything he does! This is his second and final year of coaches pitch, next year he moves up and they will actually keep score and play the game by the rules. Good luck Cameron!!

We learned how to make butter, learned how to turn wool into yarn, painted gourds, fed sheep and cows, went on a hayride and had a picnic lunch. Cameron really had a good time and listened to what they were saying. He is a little farmer!!!!!

Spring Break 2009

These post are not quite in order... Spring Break was before Easter.. but my pictures are on 2 different cameras so I just downloaded the spring break pictures. I took some time off and took the kids to the beach for a few days. Will joined us as well. We went down on sunday and came home on wednesday. We had a great time.. dancing, shopping, playing cards, playing our nintendo DS and just hanging out. The kids wondered why boss didn't let me have the whole week off of spring break.... they didn't realize that I didn't ask for the whole week off...hahaha

doing the twist...... too funny
Nice form Lacie..........

Easter 2009

OK-- so I am a very slack blogger these days. There has been so much going on here lately, I just haven't been able to find the time to sit down and post, so please forgive me(not that everyone else isn't busy,ha) Here are some Easter pictures from church today. They are kinda funny-- notice one is an action shot and there is an extra child in them as well. Maybe Avrie wants to be a part of the family... maybe one day she will.. who knows!!

SNOW 2009

It doesn't snow very often in South Carolina.... so when it does, its BIG fun! I was like a kid this morning when I woke up, immediately looking out the window to see if/how much snow we had. Unfortunately I had to work, but was able to sneak away for an early lunch break to play with the kids in the snow at Grammies. I got hit with several snowballs, my aim isn't very good, so didn't get to return the favor to Will. I threw several, but no luck. Then we built a snowman and dressed him all up. It was so much fun! Wish it would snow a little more often.

Lacie and the snowman!
He was a little small.... but he is cute!

The family and snowman

Building him.......

Cameron got hit in the ear with snowball..... not very happy

Yes she licked the snow off Wills truck.....what can I do with her??

Lacie had on turtle neck shirt and 2 coats and still freezing

Uncle Will showed Mary Ellen how to "pop" those things with her fingers

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I will try in the year 2009 to post more often, because I know that everyone wants to keep up with my family. HA

Every year moma and Scooter have a New Year "block party," this year was no different. The neighborhood men get up early and cook all day. We have bbq pig, deer and chicken, chicken and rice, beans, slaw, bread, and yummy chocolate cake. I don't have pictures of the preparations(because I was working) but even Cameron was in on the "man duties" this year. When the sun goes down they block off part of the street and the kids go wild. We had a golf cart parade, sparklers and those little "popping" things that you throw on ground to pop. They had such a great time. It was very cold last night, so they had 2 fireplaces burning. And of course they have awesome fireworks. This year they had to do a little before midnight, the kids were tired and cold, but enjoyed themselves! Looking forward to a great 2009 and next years block party!
