National Wizard of Oz day..........

For those of you that didn't know, I now work at McCoy Nursing Home in Bishopville, also... today was National Wizard of Oz Day.............SO several employees dressed like the characters from the movie. I was Glinda the Good Witch........ Tiffany was Dorothy, Susan was the wicked witch of the west, Micheal was the Tin Man(if I only had a heart), Pat was the scarecrow(if I only had a brain), Jenesia was the Cowardly Lion( needing some courage) and Julies dog was Toto. It was so much fun and the residents LOVED it.

Lacie's first day...........

Now my baby is starting K4---------- whats a mom to do. I know that I am getting old, my 4 year old asked if she could walk into school by herself today!!! (sniff sniff.... just about to cry) How can she be that grown up? Of course, I walked her in and all her supplies, she gave me a kiss and told me bye. What happened to separation anxiety?? There were kids crying and clinging to their moms.....but not mine!!! WOW, I am getting old!

Camerons first day of K5....

Ok... so I am getting very old!!! My baby started K5 last week. His first day was last Wed, he has Mrs Kim Odom and Eva Bramlett for K5. This year he goes from 8:00am(which is really hard on his moma!!) and goes till 2pm. He really seems to be enjoying it. Said he has only lost one bubble, so far. Its early in the year.... so keep your fingers crossed!!!!!

CHEERLEADING!!!

Ok, you know that you are getting old, when your baby girl goes to mini-cheerleading camp/clinic. I had completely forgotten about the clinic until monday afternoon when I picked them up from daycare. People were talking about it and I asked if she wanted to go. Of course she said yes. It went on for 3 days, and tonight we got a preview of what she had learned. She also gets to cheer at half time of one the football games! When I took her tonight, I pulled up and asked if she needed me to go in with her. NO, was her response! My baby isn't a baby anymore, what am I going to do???? I came back at 8pm for their little show. My little social butterfly was working the room, talking to anyone that would talk to her! I have no idea where she gets that from either......... She really enjoyed herself and can't wait until halftime!

Vacation 2008

The first week of August is the annual family vacation week to the beach(aka Hell Week!!) This year was no different. We all packed and piled in for a week of fun in the sun! Diane(Wills mom) and her two sisters, from Massachuetts, stay at William and Diane's beach house( that sleeps 10 people) while the remaining 17 of us spend the week under one roof! Lucky for us, we all get along very well. When I first joined the family there were 4 two year olds in the house, hence the name Hell Week. But things really have gotten better, now there are 4 six year olds, no diapers, no bottles, and no breastfeedings. Now if noone gets pregnant, it will only continue to get better, until teenage years, I guess. The kids actually get along much better, they seem to pair up with one another. Lacie and Hampton were peas and carrotts all week, and Josh and Paul were the best of friends. The others kinda depended on how they felt as to who they paired with. The grown ups just sat back, ate junk and played cards.......Life is good!!
